Thanks so much for your support for our work here.
We are happy to announce that we have received enough gifts to send a truckload of blankets and 450 mattresses to the internally displaced refugees living in tent settlements in northwestern Syria. We will be working out the details this month. In our next shipment, we want to send several thousand one-piece infant and baby snowsuits as part of our campaign to prevent children dying from exposure this winter. Please do keep us in your prayers. War has broken out in the neighboring Caucasus. Tensions are rising in the waters of the Eastern Mediterranean over control of the vast energy resources, with far-flung countries like France sending battleships and the UAE deploying warplanes to Crete. If that is not enough, Israel is talking of preemptive strikes against Iran and Hezbollah in Lebanon. It would not take much to ignite a massive missile war in the region. Besides this, there is concern about Covid-19 and the sinister plans that may be behind the upcoming vaccination being pushed upon the world. The Lord gave us an encouraging promise while reading Psalms 92 this morning, similar to the wonderful “fret not” verses of Psalm 37. Psalm 92 verse 7 puts all the evil around us in a proper perspective. “When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed forever…” It was such an encouragement to “fret not” about whatever evil is happening in the world and to quietly continue to feed the hungry, be kind to the stranger and the refugee, to clothe the naked and to help the sick and dying (Matthew 25: 35.36). Thanks again for your help in making it possible for us to accomplish this! Much love John for the Refugee Aid team |
