Aisha is 13 years old. She lives with her parents and six siblings in Halibat (in the desert). She was born prematurely and her body wasn’t completely formed, leaving her blind and with other physical deficiencies. Last year Aisha was accepted at the King Abdullah School for the Blind. In only seven months she learned to read Braille and is doing excellent in school. She also began speaking some English. She had never attended school! At first her mother refused to let her go to school. Part of the arrangement was that we would need to provide a monthly food package for Aisha’s brothers and sisters, then the mother would agree to let Aisha go to school. Now the mother, after seeing how much progress Aisha has made, is so proud of her!
Thank you again for your help that made it all happen. If you would like to donate please contact Jacki Scott.
